Grace Bao is an ethnic Chinese woman who grew up in Singapore. She’s gorgeous and successful—except in her love life, which has been one disaster after another. After the latest blowup, where her boyfriend dumps her, she’s ready for a change. Her sister, Evelyn, suggests she leave Singapore and come to California to live with Evvie and her husband, Jared. So Grace does, and things get complicated.
